What you could be doing?

How is BT Volunteers organised?

What commitment is required?

What benefits are there?

What is the process once registered?

How do I register?

BT Volunteers is supported by the Chairman, and local line managers are given the authority to allow 'up to two hours' a month for BT Volunteers activity, subject to operational requirements. Realistically you will need approx 2-3 hours for initial training and then look to prepare activities with a partner each time you visit a school. Preparation time will get les as you become more experienced, but allow a couple of hours for each activity at the start. There are many ways you can be flexible with your time - work on BT Volunteers during lunch breaks, start early/finish later etc. Your line manager will be more supportive if he/she sees you are committed to giving your own time as well as using some of BT's.
