All BT Volunteers are either current employees, ex BT or friends and family. Our policy is to ensure all BT Volunteers are trained to both deliver the activity and understand how a school works. They are Disclosure checked with the appropriate body and will nearly always work in pairs with the teacher present. Each volunteer carries a badge with a contact number to ring should you have any doubts. We recognise the limitations of Disclosure checks as the main source of security, so our people are trained to observe school rules for interacting with children as well as being aware of the danger signs. Most BT Volunteers now receive their initial training in a school where they conclude by delivering a lesson immediately following the event.
