BT is campaigning to spread the benefits
of improved communication as widely as possible in society. We want to help
empower young people to use their voice and try to help them develop the human
communication skills they need for the best possible start in life.
BT Volunteers is an initiative which facilitates a delivery programme to support
the communication skills element of the BT Better World Campaign www.bt.com/betterworld.
The Volunteers work with young people in schools and youth groups, primarily
helping to improve their speaking and listening skills. It involves BT people
directly in community activity and provides a practical example of Corporate
Responsibility in action
There are nearly 3,000 BT Volunteers who are BT, ex-BT and Friends and Family
and are all are Disclosure checked and trained to deliver speaking and listening skills
